Huli

Ingredients
1.togari belle(tuar dhal)-1/2 cup
2.turmeric powder-1 tsp
3.hunase hannu-lemon size soaked in water.
4.salt -to taste
5.sugar or bella(jagerry)-2 tsp
6.fresh grated coconut-1/2 to 3/4 cup
7.huli pudi(sambar powder)-2 tblsp
vegetables that can be used-1/4 kg,(total)
1. raddish(mooli)
2. carrot
3. beans
4. drum stick
5. all types of kumbala kayi(ash gourd)
6. sorae kayi
7. aloo and onion
8. all types of soppu
9. badanae kayi(brinjal)
10 all types of soaked kalu(grains)
11. mixed vegetables
12. halasina kayi(jack fruit)
13. gori kayi
14. cucumber
15. cabbage
16. navilu kosu
17. semae badanae
18. balle kayi
19. tondae kayi
20. padavala kayi

seasoning
1.ghee -2 tsp
2.sasivae-1 tsp
3.jeera-1 tsp
4.menthya seeds-1/4 tsp
5.hing-1/4 tsp
6.curry leaves-few
Method
1.wash belle in water 2 to 3 times and keep in a cooker container (or bowl)adding turmeric powder.
2.cut vegetables and keep in a separate container adding very little water
3.put both in the pressure cooker and cook till 3 whistles
4.take out boiled belle and vegetables,in a kadai or vessel
5.grind coconut ,huli pudi,hunase hannu together in a mixy to a coarse paste.
6.add to the belle and vegetable mix,if needed add water to get required consistency.
7.add salt,sugar,curry leaves boil well .
8.heat ghee in a oggarane spoon,(laddle)add sasivae(mustard seeds) ,jeera,menthya (methi)seeds,hing ,when its stop spluttering pour the seasoning over boiled huli.
